Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are the ground rules for using Lernix AI Homework Helper, an AI-powered study companion built to support learning, independent study and the work you do alongside your classes. Lernix is here to help you understand, not to hand in finished work for you. The terms are an agreement between you and Lernix AI Homework Helper ("Lernix", "we", "us") and are effective from 2026-10-30.

Agreeing to these terms

By downloading, opening or using Lernix, you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. Because there is no sign-in, your use of the app itself is how you show that you accept these terms.

Your licence to use Lernix

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Lernix on Apple devices you own or control, for your own learning and in line with these terms and the Apple App Store rules. This licence does not let you copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it.

Studying with integrity

Lernix works best as a study buddy: something that helps you work through a problem, check your thinking and understand a topic more deeply. Please use it alongside your classes and follow the academic rules of your school or teacher. You agree not to use the app to break the law, to harass or harm others, to submit content you have no right to share, to try to disrupt or overload our backend, or to get around any feature limits or payment requirements. We may limit or stop access for misuse.

About the AI's answers

Responses are generated by AI on our own backend. They can be incomplete, outdated or simply wrong, and they are not a substitute for your teacher, your textbooks or your own judgement. Treat each answer as a starting point for learning, and double-check anything important.

Subscriptions, billing and cancelling

Paid features are offered through Apple In-App Purchase. Your subscription, billing, automatic renewal and cancellation are all managed through the Apple App Store, under Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings before the renewal date. Refund requests are handled by Apple. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription on its own.

Who owns what

The app, including its design, software, branding and content we provide, belongs to Lernix AI Homework Helper and is protected by intellectual property laws. The questions and material you submit remain yours. You give us permission to process that content on our backend so we can generate your responses and run the service. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to share anything you submit.

No guarantees

Lernix is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any answer will be accurate or suit your particular assignment or exam.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lernix AI Homework Helper is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for grades, academic outcomes, lost data or other harm arising from your use of the app or reliance on its answers. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.

When these terms change

We may update these terms as the app grows. When we do, we will post the new version and update the effective date. If you keep using Lernix after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
